The K11 Art Foundation and ICA (London) co-present the second iteration of Zhang Ding’s ongoing project entitled Zhang Ding: Enter the Dragon 2 curated by Matt Williams (Curator, ICA). The first iteration took place over 13 nights in October 2015 in the ICA Theatre.

Zhang Ding transforms a substantial area of the chi K11 art museum in Shanghai to create a site specific ‘mutating sound sculpture’, covering large areas of the interior with mirrored surfaces and directional speakers, creating an immersive environment. Selected by Zhang Ding, artists from China working across a variety of musical genres will feature in weekly performances during the exhibition. The performances involve the artists performing alongside audiences within the installation to create a space for co-operative improvisation, experimentation and self-reflection.
Following a special performance on the opening night, there will be five public performances held on the following Saturday evenings: 28th May, 4th June, 11th June, 18th June and 25th June.
