” The Same” 14 installations of Lin Tianmiao on display at BCA Beijing
Lin Tianmiao’s 14 new installations created these two last years are on display at Beijing Center for the Arts at the Legacy quarter next to Qianmen until february 26th, 2012.
Same same but different, ” The Same” is definitely a show to be seen, the works Lin Tianmiao is showing here is impressively cold and masculine. The space is great and really serves the works.
“Hundred of objects of different shapes and dimensions, like animal and human bones, metal gadget and wood, are wrapped by cotton or silk thread in different colors…By wrapping, splitting, hanging, recombining and any other artistic technique you may think of, the artist will perform magic with these little labor-bearing and luxurious “elves” to bring to the art center a completely new work and atmosphere. ”
