To Talk or not about Art? 谈还是不谈？

Rave forum is an exhibition using dialogue and conversation as the predominant way of expression. From 7pm on May 14 2009 the artists on site started an overnight discussion with artists online on art issues.

Tonight at the occasion “Rave Forum” exhibition’s opening at Li Space in Caochangdi, Ma Yongfeng asked me to participate to his performance. During 2 hours we sat around a table without saying a word experiencing what is to feel boring while in the other room of the gallery more than 20 artists was talking about Chinese contemporary art, its meaning and its future. In the same time Wu Yuren’s work was taking shape under our eyes: “The art here stinks.”

今晚于草场地荔空间正在举行“谈话就是运动”。为了此次活动，马永峰请我参加他的作品，六个人两个小时的时间内坐在一起，不谈话，同时在戈壁二十多个艺术家正在讨论CCA中国当代艺术的意义和未来。无谈就是无谈。。。

同时在展厅里我们能看到吴玉仁在布他的作品的过程：“这里的艺术很臭”。
